Bird surveys are held six times a year, following the natural seasons' calendar in the Melbourne region and monitoring numbers and species of birds using Australian Bird Atlas survey regime. Leader is Chris Nicholson.
Four areas are surveyed:
- the Trin Warren Tam-boore wetlands storage pond;
- the Wetlands treatment pond;
- the creekline and Skink site;
- and the bushland escarpment and the Ross Straw sports fields.
Results are entered into the global database eBird.
Meeting place/time for Bird Surveys is: Trin Warren Tam-boore Wetlands carpark, Oak Street, Parkville West from 8:45 am. All welcome.
